After Care
-
Do not get your eyelashes wet for the first 2-3 hours.
Do not use a spa, sauna or pool for the first 24 hours. The extensions need that amount of time to properly bond.
Avoid pulling or rubbing your eyes.
Do not use eyelash curlers with your extensions. With proper application you will not need them.
ONLY use oil-free makeup remover.
If your eyelashes are tangled or crossed over, use the Spoolie given to you during your appointment to gently brush them straight and put them in place.
Proper hygiene is very important. Please keep lashes clean by regular washing.
After showering avoid rubbing lashes, it best to blot them with a towel and let them air dry.
You can also dry the lashes by using a hair dryer on the cool setting and blowing them dry from the bottom up. It makes them curlier and fluffy.
Use care when applying facial and eye creams to avoid the lash line. Too many oil-based products can break down the adhesive.
It is recommended to schedule touch-up appointments every two to three weeks to maintain your new eyelash extensions.

Prior to needling treatment, please observe the following:
No Retin-A products or applications 1 week prior to your treatment
No auto-immune therapies or products 1 week prior to your treatment

What Can Be Expected?:
After your needling treatment, please be aware and observe the following:
Immediately after your treatment, you will look as though you have moderate to serve sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This is normal and will subside after 2-6 hours and will normally recover within the same 24 hours. You may see slight redness after 24 hours, but not only in minimal areas or spots.
Your practitioner will prescribe post-treatment skincare after the procedure to help soothe, calm and protect the skin. Continue to use for 5-7 days. Active skincare can be resumed again after Day 7.
-
Aerobic exercise or vigorous physical activity should be avoided for the first 48 hours.
Direct sunlight exposure is to be completely avoided immediately following the treatment (including any strong
UV light exposure and tanning beds). If some sun exposure cannot be avoided, first apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or greater. Sunscreen (with at least an SPF of 15) should become a part of your daily skincare regimen as your skin will become more sensitive to the sun as a result of this treatment.
Cleanse your face with water or a mild soap substitute such as
Gently moisturize your face using a minimum of times a day.
Do NOT apply any type of glycolic acid or exfoliation products as this can severely damage or irritate the skin during the entire healing process.
DO NOT peel, rub, or scratch your skin at anytime, whatsoever. This WILL cause damage and compromise your results as well as possibly cause severe scarring.
If you experience painful areas of the face, contact your skin care therapist immediately, especially if you are prone to cold sores. Any blisters that form will need to be reported immediately.
In the event that you may have additional questions or concerns regarding your treatment or suggested home product/post-treatment care, you must consult your therapist immediately.

Exfoliate and moisturize
24 hours before you apply your self tan, paying particular attention to elbows, knees, ankles and problem areas.
Avoid using high pH shower products, or in shower moisturizers for the entire 24 hours before your treatment.
Wax or shave at least 48 hours prior to treatment.
This allows the pores time to close. Dotting in pores may appear if not adhered to.
Don’t apply moisturizer, perfume, deodorant, or makeup on the day of application.
These products may act as a barrier against your skin and can prevent the DHA tanning actives from developing evenly.
-
Wear dark loose clothing.
Tight clothing or underwear may cause marks. Wear shoes that slide on or are loose-fitting.
Shower lightly in cold - lukewarm water
for 45 seconds after the first hour for a light to medium tan. The longer the tan is left on, the darker the tan (no longer than 8 hours).
Shower in plain water don’t use shower gels, scrubs, shampoos or a loofah during the first 24 hours after your treatment.
Pat dry and use aftercare products including moisturizers and gradual tanners after your first shower to extend the life of your tan. Moisturizing daily ensures long lasting results that fade evenly.
Avoid sweating and don’t exercise or swim for the first 24 hours after your spray tan treatment.
Try not to touch your skin during development time.
Any marks on your hands, therefore, are due to your hands touching the developing tan which can cause discolored, darker hands compared to the rest of the body which can be difficult to remove.
Long exposure to water and sweating from exercise will fade your spray tan. Your outer cells will start to soak up water which dilutes the effect of the tan. The longer you are in water the lighter your tan will get.
